Across the expanse of the world.. lies truth Across the expanse of the world.. it hides.. but is there Inside we feel Inside.. we know Inside.. we are who we know we are Our dreams Our fears Our sorrows We all are who we are shunned by many loved by few why are they so blind? Our hearts cry out.. and when answers come they say, "It is not for you" Our lives.. they are not so different Our hearts.. they are just as real But we can't be who we are.. We can't know what they know For we are us.. For we are not them.. We are many.. We are few.. We care.. We hope.. We pray.. Yet we are who we are.. Who are you to judge..? Who are you to ridicule? Who are you to speak out and say.. "You are not You! You cannot be!" Who are you to stomp on our peace? Who are you to say, "I hate you." Why do you say it? Why can't I be me? Why can't I grow into who I was meant to be? Am I so wrong? Am I so lost? And can you truly know? Dear God.. why am I me????? I cry.. I yearn.. I search.. but still.. i am me.. I long.. I cry.. I scream.. and yet... still.. I am me.. Why am I me? Why do they hate me? Why do they kill us? We do not hurt any.. do we? They are themselves.. why can't we be ourselves? They are their own.. can we not be our own? Pressure builds.. words fall.. we are no more we cannot be us we cannot be we can only be them.. they who crush and destroy.. they who pummel and extricate Why would we want to be them? Out of the woods came a thundering rush like none of the beasts ever heard Out of the dense growth of trees came a wind much alike a great thunderbird But far greater still.. out out it came.. silence.. and yet.. thunder roared..
